Configuring a Registered Device

Register a New Cisco Device

Note: Before you can proceed, you must first register the new device.

  • Registering a Cisco Device

Enable XMLAPI Mode on Cisco Devices

Confirm that XMLAPI mode is enabled on your Cisco devices.

Consult your Cisco documentation for details on how to enable XMLAPI mode for the device.
Note: Calendar invites will fail if XMLAPI mode is disabled on the Cisco device.
The following steps have been tested for the Cisco SX20 system.

  1. Go to Setup > Configuration > Network Services.
  2. Confirm the XMLAPI Mode is enabled.

It may take up to 10 minutes for your calendar to appear. Please check the status of your device in the table.

Note: If using a Relay it must be connected and active for calendaring to function.

Verification Test

  • SSH to the IP of the device using admin credentials and run the following command:
    xcommand bookings list

Note: When you use a custom wallpaper, the clock and the list of upcoming meetings are removed from the main display.
