RealPresence Trio
Guide to connecting the RealPresence Trio to the One Touch Dial service.
Configuring a Registered Device
Register a New Poly Device
Before you can proceed, you must first register a new device and obtain generated credentials.
Configure Device Profile
- Go to the system web interface of the device, by entering the IP address of the device into the browser address. Note: You must log in as an administrator.
- Select Simple Setup from the tab menu.
- Ensure Generic is selected for the Base Profile. The Trio will not function with One Touch Dial service using the other profile options.
Enable Basic Authentication Feature
- Using a text editor of your choice, create a config file with the following content, and save with the extension .cfg (Example: enableBasicAuth.cfg):
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<!-- This flag enables basic authentication for exchange service in Trio -->
<PHONE_CONFIG>
<ALL feature.exchange.allowBasicAuth="1"/>
</PHONE_CONFIG>
- Go to the system web interface of the device, by entering the IP address of the device into an internet browser.
Note: You must log in as an administrator. - Go to Utilities > Import & Export Configuration.
- Under the Import Configuration section, select Choose File.
- Select the .cfg file you created in step 1, and select Import.
- A confirmation will be displayed with "Configuration file imported successfully".
- Select Close.
Optional: If your Trio device is provisioned by a Provisioning Server, you can refer to its respective provisioning documentation on how to add this parameter to the configuration profile associated to your device.
